1983 Firefighter of the Year

Jaycees honor firefighter

At the Templeton Jaycees awards presentation December 13 Jaycees presented volunteer firefighter Art Lehr of Templeton their first “Outstanding Firefighter of the Year” award.

Project Chairman Tom Bupp called upon Firechief Lloyd Holloway to help the Jaycess with the selection. Holloway said “Art was selected because of his dedication and willingness to take on the jobs and training. He recently completed EMT 2 training. He has been with the fire department four years and holds the status of Captain and Fire Prevention Officer.”

Other awards presented were for first quarter Jaycees of the Month: James Rillo, Norm Larsen and John Sherlock. Second quarter awards went to Dave Hamilton, Neal Holloway and Tom Bupp. Jaycee of the Quarter awards went to Keith Rau and Dave Hamilton.
