The Templeton Fire Department is pleased to swear in yet another Firefighter, Haustin Morrison, to its strong team. The brave men and women who choose to become a Templeton Firefighter must invest a lot of time and commitment. To be trained at the basic level, training requires approximately 200 hours of studying and practical hands-on experience.

Haustin was born and raised on the Central Coast on his family’s cattle ranch. He graduated from North County Christian School in 2011; and then went on to study at the University of Wyoming where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biology. Following his time in Wyoming, he attended Cuesta College and earned his EMT certification. Haustin completed the SLO County Paid Call Firefighter Academy in March 2014 and has been accepted into the Allan Hancock Firefighter 1 Academy in Lompoc. Haustin has been with the Templeton Fire Department since January of this year.

On behalf of our department, Haustin has shown his commitment by stepping up and filling multiple shifts during the day and evening. Haustin attributes his success to his loving parents who have supported him throughout his chosen career path. All of us here tonight who work and volunteer with Haustin at TFD will attest to his dedication to serve the community.

Presenting Haustin with his badge tonight will be Haustin’s sister, Emily.

Ladies and Gentlemen and the Board of Directors it is my pleasure and honor to introduce Templeton Firefighter Haustin Morrison.
